Here is a delicious recipe for the squeeze cake:

The plum cake:

I. You need:

  • 1 small sharp knife or
  • 1 device for destoning the plums
  • 1 baking sheet
  • 1 mixing bowl for the yeast dough

  • 200ml milk at room temperature
  • 50g sugar
  • 1 packet of ready-to-use yeast [fresh yeast works too, of course :))]
  • 370g fine wheat flour
  • 1 egg at room temperature
  • 80g butter
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 2kg plums - squeeze
  • Butter for the baking sheet

II. This is how it's done:

  • Wash the plums well, dry them and remove the stones with the appliance or
  • Slit open one side with the knife, remove the core and
  • another 2 short slits on one side "vunn dere squeeze"! incise

  2. Mix well with the yeast
  3. Add milk, egg, butter, sugar, vanilla sugar and salt
  4. mix everything well
  5. Knead the dough well until it bubbles and
  6. easily detaches from the edge of the bowl
  7. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place
  8. its volume should ideally double.

  2. roll out the dough and cover the tray with it
  3. Cover the tray with a cloth and let rise again for about 1/2 hour.

  3. Bake in the oven at approx. 180 ° C for 1/2 hour.

When the edge of the pastry is golden, take the cake out of the oven and sprinkle with sugar. Depending on the sweetness of the plums, you need more or less sugar.
