The latter describes measures that are used to divide employees spatially and chronologically so that optimal capacity utilization can be achieved. Ultimately, personnel planning deals with the sub-area of ​​personnel layoffs. The aim is to terminate employment relationships if this is necessary.

What are basic personnel planning methods?

In order to carry out successful personnel planning, HR managers use a variety of methods. For example, statistics are created in order to be able to assess the workforce utilization or the personnel requirement taking into account existing data. In addition, key figures from empirical values ​​are identified and defined, which can then be used as a comparison standard. Furthermore, time recordings can be used to recognize how many people are required for a department or a project, based on the number of employees in the past and the successes or failures of the projects.
